About Me

Gab GoldenbergConversionRateOptimization.co is run by yours truly, Gab Goldenberg.

Experience and Disciplines:

I have 10 years’ experience in digital marketing. My strengths are SEO and conversion rate optimization. I’ve chosen to focus solely on conversion rate optimization however, as I enjoy it more. Note that I include under that heading things like usability testing, user -experience/-interface design, copywriting, web analytics, lean market research aka customer development etc.

I’ve worked in just about every discipline in the field, including SEO, PPC, affiliate marketing, email marketing, domaining, web analytics, usability and of course conversion rate optimization, though most of that time has been in search (SEO and PPC) and conversion rate optimization / usability.

Clients:

I’ve worked on a long list of sites including some big ones like Expedia, TripAdvisor, Ice.com, Diamond.com, ViaRail, Skechers, Traffix Systems and California Closets, as well as a host of smaller sites in real estate, hospitality, pets, manufacturing, cosmetics, web hosting, graphic design, phone cards and plans, information security, legal, wholesale apparel, sporting events, interior design consulting and more. Note that much of the above work was done as a subcontractor for other digital marketing agencies .

Writing / Speaking:

I’ve written widely, including the first book on advanced SEO (a quarter of whose tactical chapters address conversion rate optimization for SEO traffic), and columns for:

Moz (formerly SEOmoz),

SearchEngineLand,

SearchEngineJournal,

Website Magazine (print),

Wolf-Howl,

Acquisio,

PPC Hero

and many others.

Speaking engagements (watch videos/see slides here) have included SMX West, SMX Advanced, SMX Israel, Pubcon Las Vegas, Affiliate Summit East, FacebookCamp, Tel Aviv Lean Startup, McGill University and private training events for companies.

Press:

The following is a sample of news publications in the mainstream or trade press that have covered me: Entrepreneur, CNet, SEOBook.com, Search Engine Watch, Webmaster Radio, Search Engine Land (besides my own column), Moz (besides my own column), Marketing Sherpa, Matt Cutts, Radio Energie, La Presse / Cyberpresse etc.
